Annual update of the Central Register of Beneficial Owners: are you on time?
Under the Law on the Central Register of Beneficial Owners, all registered entities are required to confirm or update their beneficial owner data once a year.
How the deadline works:
Once a full year has passed since the data was last recorded, a 30-day period begins in which the data must be confirmed or updated.
How the procedure is carried out:
Exclusively online.
- If there have been changes in the ownership structure: update the data and upload new documentation.
- If there have been no changes: confirm the current status electronically using the director's qualified electronic certificate.
What happens if the deadline is missed?
- ⚠️ Misdemeanor proceedings are initiated automatically, with high fines.
- ⚠️ The company risks being placed on the Serbian Business Registers Agency (SBRA) public list of non-compliant entities, which can directly affect your dealings with commercial banks.
