As tradition dictates, IB Interbilanz organized another Team Building event this year. This time, we visited northeastern Serbia, the Negotin region, known for its wine route.
The first landmark we visited was the Bukovo Monastery. The monastery belongs to the Timok Diocese of the Serbian Orthodox Church. It is dedicated to Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker and is located 4 km from Negotin.
The tradition of viticulture and winemaking in the Negotin region is closely tied to this monastery, which itself produces a unique wine for the Serbian market made from 100% black muscat grape – Filigran Crna Tamjanika.
Just 1.5 km away is the Matalj Winery, our next destination. In a pleasant atmosphere and beautiful setting, we enjoyed a wine tasting of premium wines and toured the wine cellars.
We ended the day in the largest city of this part of Serbia, Zaječar, with dinner and a great atmosphere at the Quince restaurant.
On our way back, we visited the 3rd-century archaeological site Felix Romuliana, which is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Accompanied by a professional guide, we had the opportunity to hear the story of the site’s origin and history.
We concluded our Team Building filled with new knowledge, great impressions, and shared moments that will further strengthen our team spirit and cooperation.
